Exeter City's No.3 has given his reaction as City suffered their first defeat of the season against Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
A second half strike from was the difference between the two sides in Hampshire but City threatened late on, with Pierce Sweeney having a late header fantastically saved by the Pompey goalkeeper.
"The overriding feel is disappointment, said Zak.
"I feel like Gary gives us the freedom to play good football and express ourselves and I don't think we took the opportunity tonight to show that and show what we can do. As a whole I think the whole group is disapointed in that sense.
"It's a learning curve and something for us to look at and learn from and take into the next game."
