Yanic joined City on 15 September 2023 on a short term deal, which he later extended until the end of the 2024/25 season
Yanic has had an illustrious career across Europe, playing for clubs across the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Israel, as well making well over 100 appearances in the EFL.
He joined the club after his release from Oxford United and made his Grecians debut against Cheltenham Town. He made 35 appearances for City in 2023/24 including a crucial equaliser at Stevenage which Gary Caldwell marks as a significant turning point in the season.
He opted to extend his contract at the end of the campaign for a further year, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Yanic has also been selected to represent his native Suriname on international duty.
