Supporter Behaviour at SJP

We pride ourselves on the atmosphere we create on a match day, the passionate support from our fans is appreciated by everyone, particularly the players. We consistently win awards for our family engagement and supporter experience. Help us to keep it that way and please ensure that passion for your club does not develop into unwelcome behaviour.

St James Park is smoke-free; smoking and vaping are not permitted in the stands. We do have designated smoking areas for use at half time – please use these.

Please remember, discriminatory abuse, chanting or harassment is forbidden and can result in arrest and/or ejection from the ground and a ban for one or more matches. We will not tolerate discrimination of any kind and should you become aware of any, then you should raise the issue with a steward or text 'Help ECFC’ to 62277 to enable us to keep St James Park a family friendly stadium that is welcoming to all.

It is an offence for a person to enter or attempt to enter a football ground while in possession of a flare, smoke bomb or firework. We will always seek to identify individuals involved, and work with Devon and Cornwall police to take the appropriate action. The sentence for these offences can be as much as three months in prison, and in many cases, fans who have no previous convictions are being given prison sentences for attempting to enter a football ground with a flare, smoke bomb or firework.

All Exeter City supporters who have been identified as being involved in the use of a flare or smoke during the last 12 months have been banned from attending matches at St James Park. This has been as a result of incidents at both home and away matches as the club looks to protect the safety of supporters. We work with Devon and Cornwall Police and away clubs to ensure that any incident is fully investigated and the necessary action is taken against the individuals involved.

Thank you for helping us to make sure everyone has an amazing matchday experience.

You can read all of the ground regulations here.
