Our Newest & Youngest Ambassador

6-year-old Olivia's latest travels

Little Olivia Hancock may be only 6-years-old but she has already packed in a wealth of Grecian experience, having been a mascot for the team home and away matches and following the team from her home in the Midlands as well as playing football herself.

She now has a new experience to remember and tell her own children about one day, having met the President of the Brazilian Football federation, (CBF) in the hotel being shared by the GB Ladies Olympic football team and the Brazilian Olympic squads and then watching the men’s Olympic Football Final at Wembley as a guest of the CBF President!

Olivia made it onto Brazilian cable TV and was given two Brazilian team shirts by the CBF delegation and gave the President a t-shirt of her own that she had got from the club when she recently visited St James' Park.

When asked by members of the delegation which of the big Premier League teams she supported, Olivia left them in no doubt that her team is Exeter City and that it was the Grecians that played Brazil first!

So, well done to our newest and youngest ambassador, Olivia Hancock and if we manage to re-visit Brazil in 2014, 100 years after we were the first team to play them in Rio in 1914, no doubt Olivia will be making sure her parents start saving for the trip.
