Flynny earns himself a make-over
An all-action display earned popular Exeter City striker John O’Flynn the ‘match of the match’ award for his performance against AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday evening. But he got an extra bonus for his efforts from the management and staff of WAGS, the hair and beauty salon of choice for the wives and girlfriends of City players (plus a number of the players themselves!)Debbie Brooks, who owns WAGS on North Street in Exeter city centre, had promised the Irishman a ‘full monty’ if he scored – and he duly did. So he arrived the very next day for a haircut, pedicure, tanning session and general pampering. (Lips are sealed as to whether the waxing strips were brought out).
Debbie said, “The girls always look forward to seeing Flynny and he deserved his reward for his efforts on Tuesday night. We hope it encourages more City fans, male and female, to use our services, we have something for everyone and are real supporters of Exeter City.”
‘Flynny’, who is growing a ‘mo’ to support the ‘Movember’ charity effort, (to raise awareness and money for prostate and other male cancers) is certainly looking ‘the business’ these days on and off the pitch, so it looks like a result for Debbie and the girls at WAGS!
