Six homegrown players start against the Robins
No less than six homegrown players are named amongst Paul Tisdale’s starting XI for the visit of Cheltenham Town to St James Park.
That doesn’t include Aaron Dawson, who began against Bury last weekend, as regular right-back Danny Butterfield returns from injury to start.
Recalled into the starting XI are central midfielder Matt Grimes and goalkeeper Christy Pym, with Matt Gill and Artur Krysiak both beginning the game amongst the subs.
The suspension of captain Danny Coles means a recall to the team for Pat Baldwin, who will be the Grecians’ skipper for the afternoon.
Former Grecians Jamie Cureton and David Noble start for Cheltenham.
