New publication details the Grecians’ trip of 1914
A new book, written by Aidan Hamilton, is due to be released in April which details Exeter City’s famous tour of South America in 1914. Ahead of the centenary celebrations, ‘Have You Ever Played Brazil’ will be launched and will contain plenty of previously-unknown insight into the tour which prompted the formation of the Brazilian national team.
If you subscribe to the book before the end of February, you also have the chance to have your name included in the print inside. So it’s a great opportunity to be a part of this historic publication. Hamilton has also written ‘An Entirely Different Game: British Influence on Brazilian Football’.
Some of the new information in the publication includes:
• New details about the formation of Exeter City
• Biographical accounts of the players and their post-tour lives
• The impact of the First World War on football, the players and Exeter City
‘Have You Ever Played Brazil’ will cost £20, plus £5 postage or free collection. Subscribers can have their name (or the name of a family member or friend) for £25, plus £5 postage or free collection.
