SJP chosen as the start of parade for LGBT celebration
Exeter City Supporters’ Trust and its One Game One Community Group are delighted to be supporting this Saturday’s Exeter Pride parade, and are very proud that the football club has been chosen as the start of the event.
The parade is expected to be Exeter's biggest ever celebration of the local lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities.
Martin Weiler, coordinator of the One Game One Community Group, said: “Exeter City has worked very hard to stamp out homophobia. Every season in partnership with local LGBT organisations we hold a designated Football v Homophobia match, and the Football Association has praised our work.
“So it very fitting that Exeter Pride sees the football club as an appropriate place to start their parade. We hope as many City fans as possible will support the event.”
The Parade starts at midday on Saturday (10th May). Click here for more information on Exeter Pride.
