Exeter City played host to families supported by CLIC Sargent
THANKS TO the generosity of Exeter Airport, Cardens Estate Agents, Bishops Printers, Underwood Solicitors, Sharon Parsons, JMT Wood, Lloyd's Kitchen and Great Western Railway, the Grecians were able to play match-day host to nearly fifty children and their families currently being supported by CLIC Sargent. The group saw the dressing rooms, complete with laid-out kit; had their faces painted; were entertained by a magician; took part in an interactive football game; had a meal and drinks and won rail tickets, a meal with wine and a selection of other gifts with bags of sweets, and watched an exciting match against the now-champions Northampton Town. The highlight, though, was definitely when the City squad visited the group pre-match, and the smiles on display said it all about what it meant to both players and guests to spend time together.
Exeter City will also be able to make a much-needed donation to CLIC Sargent thanks to the sponsors, so it was definitely a case of win-win on the day off the field and a valuable point gained on it!
