Heritage event and talk: 'Menageries, matches and murder: The early history of St James Park'

Come and share your Exeter City stories and memorabilia and learn about the early history of St James Park

On Saturday 27 August, ahead of the Portsmouth match, some of the team working on the Heritage Lottery Fund supported History of St James Park Project will be in the Grecian Centre to hear from fans about their own memories and experiences of the stadium.

There will also be some historic ECFC objects on display and fans are invited to bring their own objects, in a kind of Antiques Roadshow style.

Then at 1pm, Aidan Hamilton, the author of ‘Have you Ever Played Brazil?’ will be previewing some of the research for our upcoming exhibition in a talk entitled ‘Menageries, matches and murder’ hosted by Martin Weiler from the Exeter City History Group.

Doors open at 11am and all are welcome. The Grecian Centre is by the Player’s Entrance to the main stand.
