An update on the fan survey on the EFL 'Whole Game Solution' proposals
Thank you to everyone who responded to our short survey on the EFL’s ‘Whole Game Solution’ proposals. We had 202 responses and you were significantly united in your views. 86% of respondents said they did not believe the EFL needed restructuring, with 85% against the introduction of a new League Three. 75% were against the regionalisation of the bottom two leagues and a resounding 97% were against the introduction of a winter break for L1 and L2. We asked you how you would like us to vote at the forthcoming EFL Clubs’ meeting and 92% said we should vote against the proposals. In our joint statement on 12 September 2016, we stated we have been strongly opposed to the ‘Whole Game Solution’ proposals from the outset. We will be studying your responses to all the questions, and in particular the comments you made, in more detail over the coming days; however we will now be able to go to the EFL Clubs’ meeting later this week knowing we have the backing of our supporters to reject these proposals.
Discussions will continue throughout the season and you will have the opportunity to debate the EFL’s proposals further at the Trust’s Fans’ Forum in November 2016.
Thanks again for all your contributions.
