The weather was not quite what was hoped for, but a great day was by all.
Woodbury Park was the venue for Exeter City’s corporate golf day on Wednesday, March 29, as over 20 teams took part in the event which was kindly sponsored by Mi-Space and Midas. After a close fought contest, it was RGB Recruitment that came out on top with a great team score of 92 closely followed by the teams from Baker Ruff Hannon in second, and Mi-Space, which included City’s very own James Hamon coming in third.
The post-match dinner followed a tough 18 holes and included fun and games, entertainment from a comedian and the prize giving, which included a presentation of the winner’s trophy to the RGB Recruitment team.
The weather was not quite what was hoped for, but a great day was by all.
Patrick Makeig-Jones, team manager at RGB Recruitment said: “It was a fantastic day at the Exeter City corporate golf day, kindly sponsored by Midas and Mi-space. We enjoyed the stiff competition from some of the keenest golfers the local industries have to offer.
“The day was an excellent opportunity to network with new and existing clients.”
AJ Eaton, divisional director of Mi-Space added: “We were really proud to support City’s first golf event.
“Football clubs have realised that they have a wider role to play in society than entertaining a crowd on a Saturday afternoon and Exeter City are doing some amazing work to deliver benefit to the wider community in terms of health and wellbeing.
“It was great to see so many local businesses supporting this charitable event on a wet and windy day.”
The next corporate golf day will take place this October. If you would like to express an interest in entering a team for this please email: events@ecfc.co.uk
