Redevelopment update from the club board: August 30

Despite a few problems the project has continued to proceed satisfactorily.

The construction of the new CHANGING ROOMS has progressed with the fire protection measures now largely complete and the erection of the partition walls pushing ahead along with the first fix electrical and plumbing works.

We now expect the Changing Rooms to be finished by the start of October.

After a few design issues the BIG BANK TOILETS and associated works are now complete and will be handed over to the Club this week.

All but three of the bases for the new AWAY END STAND have been excavated and concreted.

Work has continued to fix the railings to the top of the reduced 1.2m high St James Road Boundary wall.

The new CONTROL ROOM and FIRST AID CABIN have been delivered and sited in their temporary position on the Away End.We hope to have them ready for use by the Crewe match on September 16.

Once that happens the existing facilities will be removed which will allow the rest of the Away Terrace to be demolished. It will also open up the works to the bank on the junction of St James Road and Well Street.

The OLD dugouts have been removed from the IP Office Main Stand

The new DUGOUTS will be delivered and erected in the first half of September.

At the current rate of progress and providing that we don't run into any unexpected problems we expect that the demolition of the OLD GRANDSTAND will start by the middle of October.
