Free trials available for the academy Football Performance Programme with Richard Huish College

Trials take place at Bishops Fox School, Tauton

The Exeter City Football Club academy, in partnership with Richard Huish College, invites male and female players in school years 11 and 12 to register for FREE TRIALS for the Football Performance Programme.

The Football Performance Programme is designed to run during the college day in conjunction with students’ academic studies. Students are able to study any course delivered at Richard Huish College: http://www.huish.ac.uk/.

Programme Outline:
  • 5 to 10 hours a week of practical coaching
  • Exeter City FC training and match kit
  • Strength and conditioning
  • Match analysis
  • Sport psychology workshops
  • Sport nutrition workshop
  • Physiotherapy access
  • A comprehensive weekly fixture programme (Separate teams for male and female players)
For students participating in the Football Performance Programme, training sessions are delivered by our academy coaching staff. Players are continually monitored and there have been cases in which previous male participants have moved along the pathway into our Youth Team, through the Football Performance Programme.

Although there is currently no youth pathway for girls at Exeter City FC, female participants on the Football Performance Programme may also have the opportunity to be put forward by our coaching staff, for the Exeter City FC Ladies team.

Trials for next season’s programme will be held over four weeks, at Bishop Fox’s School, Bishop Fox Drive, Taunton, Somerset, TA1 3HQ. Training for these four weeks will take place on AstroTurf, from 4.45pm – 6.00pm on the following dates:
  • Friday February 24
  • Friday March 3
  • Friday March 10
  • Friday March 17
