This season’s Exeter City Foundation 'money can’t buy' prize of watching the first team training was won by long time Foundation member Michael Gardner.
Michael is partially sighted, despite this he is an avid football fan and watches the Grecians home and away. Last season he only missed three matches, two through holidays, the third was Grimsby away, which he didn’t fancy on a cold Saturday in January...
Michael thoroughly enjoyed his morning at the Cliff Hill Training Ground a couple of weeks ago, despite the intermittent rain, describing it as 'brilliant'.
The squad had a full work out including fitness drills, ball-work, and set play practice. Steve Perryman, Spurs legend and Exeter City’s director of football was on hand to talk through some of the finer points that the players were working on and offered a rounded view on all things related to football.
After training Michael had lunch with the players and coaching staff, including manager Paul Tisdale, who spoke on City’s forthcoming FA Cup match with Forest Green Rovers.
The Exeter City Foundation is a great deal, particularly for those who are regular supporters of the club.
For just £10 per month, members are entitled to a range of prizes and, if a season ticket holder, the additional benefit of cash back or a voucher for the ECFC Shop.
The City Foundation draw runs throughout the year, and overall there are sixty-seven prizes, of which sixty-four are cash prizes, all of which means that members have a GREAT chance of winning. All winners are Exeter City supporters and net proceeds go to good causes at the club.
