February’s big winner in the Exeter City Foundation draw was long time member and City supporter Paul Bastyan, seen in the picture alongside his wife, Karen, also a season ticket holder alongside operations manager Andy Gillard
Paul received his cheque at half time during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Wycombe Wanderers.
Paul, who says he’s never won more than £25 in a draw before, has been a supporter for over 50 years and is a season ticket holder in the Main Stand.
Paul’s most memorable matches are those against Newcastle in the FA Cup in 1981, the 1-1 draw away and a comprehensive 4-0 win at home, plus the away draw against Manchester United again in the FA Cup in 2005, and of course the memorable day out at Wembley Stadium when we clinched promotion back into the football league back in 2008.
Paul and Karen’s middle son lives in Hong Kong with his wife and the £1,000 they won in the Foundation draw will go towards a trip to the Far East next year.
The Exeter City Foundation is a great deal, particularly for those who are regular supporters of the club.
For just £10 per month, members are entitled to a range of prizes and, if a season ticket holder, the additional benefit of cash back or a voucher for the ECFC Shop.
The City Foundation draw runs throughout the year, and overall there are sixty-seven prizes – of which sixty-four are cash prizes – all of which means that members have a GREAT chance of winning, all winners are Exeter City supporters and net proceeds go to good causes at the club.
