Exeter City defender Dara O’Shea says there has been a good buzz around the training ground on Monday following City’s win over Cambridge United.
The Grecians, who are readying themselves for the visit of MK Dons on Saturday, took all three points last time out when a positive display was turned into three points when Nicky Law’s deflected effort found the back of the net.
Looking ahead to the match with the Dons, Dara said: “There was a buzz in training, and everyone is ready for Saturday. I think the goal settled us at the end (v Cambridge) and everyone is buzzing and looking forward to it.
“It will be a very good test because they’re up and around it as well. A few results haven’t gone their way lately but it’s going to be tough. It’ll probably be a full crowd as well, so the boys are looking forward to it.”
The Grecians go into the match with MK Dons having kept three clean sheets in their last four matches which is something Dara and his teammates will be keen to continue.
He said: “That’s what defenders are there for, to keep clean sheets, and I think we need to keep that coming.
“I think everyone knows their roles and everyone is willing to work hard and fight for each other. Everyone is on the same page and it’s coming off as a back five.”
Dara also believes it is a matter of time before the Grecians starting finding the net more regularly too, he explained: “We’re not short on chances just maybe the finishing but we’re getting the chances. We’re doing well defensively as well but it will all come together.”
