The October Exeter City Foundation winner was long term supporter from North Devon, David Knight.
David is standing on the right of our picture, alongside the Rowlinson family, David’s daughter Verity, her husband Bryan and grandson Ayden and Exeter City’s head of commercial Mark Jenkins.
David is intending to use the money for a family holiday to Spain and to welcome his new grandchild, when he/she arrives in the near future. He said: "We were all privileged to be on the pitch to receive the cheque."
David is a City supporter through and through, remembering the times he and Verity shook the bucket home and away to raise funds in the early days of the Trust, they now sell 50/50 tickets, with Ayden alongside as, David says, he is getting older and needs the help!
David’s favourite match was home to Newcastle United in the FA cup where City ended up 4-0 winners thanks to a Tony Kellow hat-trick.
Other City favourites include Jimmy Giles, Steve Neville and the one only 'Flacky'! David’s sign off was to encourage all supporters to join the Foundation!
About the Exeter City Foundation
The Exeter City Foundation is a great deal, particularly for those who are regular supporters of the club. For just ÂŁ10 per month, members are entitled to a range of prizes and, if a season ticket holder, the additional benefit of cash back or a voucher for the ECFC Shop.
The City Foundation draw runs throughout the year, and overall there are sixty-seven prizes – of which sixty-four are cash prizes – all of which means that members have a GREAT chance of winning, all winners are Exeter City supporters and net proceeds go to good causes at the club.
If you want to join then fill in a form at Reception, join online by clicking here, or by contacting the Foundation administrator at Richard.horne@ecfc.co.uk.
