The Exeter City Supporters' Club have kindly donated £900 of their emergency funds to support CITY Community Trust and local charities in this time of need.
The Supporters' Club have been going for over thirty years now and are well known for fundraising for the club, running the 50/50 half-time draw and overseeing the away coach travel under 'Grecian Travel'.
They have kindly donated £500 to CITY Community Trust to help support their work in Exeter and the surrounding area and £100 each to Exeter Food Bank, Devon freewheelers, Age UK and Hospiscare.
Speaking about making the donations, Steve Darke, the Supporters' Club Treasurer said:
"Watching the local news recently and seeing the football club's efforts with supporting local charities and helping during this time we wanted make a small gesture to show our support.
"I emailed the committee and suggested using some of the funds we have been keeping for emergencies for the football club be used to donate to some local charities and help them out during these difficult times. This was agreed unanimously."
