First out of the hat for 2020 for the Exeter City Foundation’s BIG £1,000 prize was Andy Bainborough, seen in the picture above receiving his prize during City's recent match against Cambridge United alongside City's operations manager Andy Gillard.
Andy claims that he has the shortest walk of anyone to receive his prize, as he was already on the pitch replacing divots as a volunteer Groundsman, a job that Andy has done for the last 20 years or so!
When asked what he will do with his windfall, Andy said: “After sharing some of the money with my wife Carol and grown up children Katie and Peter I will buy something nice for my first Grandchild which Katie is expecting in May.
"I also collect postcards so I will put something towards adding to my collection, and helping some of my favourite charities such as CAP (Christians Against Poverty). This is my 55th year of supporting City and I am very excited about the future of our club."
We can all agree, a worthy winner!
About the Exeter City Foundation
The Exeter City Foundation is a great deal, particularly for those who are regular supporters of the club. For just £10 per month, members are entitled to a range of prizes and, if a season ticket holder, the additional benefit of cash back or a voucher for the ECFC Shop.
The City Foundation draw runs throughout the year, and overall there are sixty-seven prizes – of which sixty-four are cash prizes – all of which means that members have a GREAT chance of winning, all winners are Exeter City supporters and net proceeds go to good causes at the club.
