City's top goalscorer Matt Jay says the side need to rediscover their early season form as they look to put together a winning run towards the end of the season.
Friday's defeat to Port Vale leaves City a point off the play-off places with nine matches remaining and the 18-goal man has faith that the Grecians can get back to form.
"We all needed to look at ourselves and realise the hard work we put in throughout the season, it all leads down to now," he said.
"This is a great opportunity for us, but we know what Mansfield will bring. We know what their strengths our and we have to take our game to them."
