Lewis Page says Monday's goalless draw with Mansfield Town was a scrappy game but was pleased with the defensive effort.
"It was a scrappy game and one of a few half chances," he said.
"Sparkesy had a good header in the first half but it was really scrappy in the final third.
"They had a big lad upfront and it was a very direct game. We just needed to get the ball down in the final third really.
"We've been defensively strong recently but just been conceding sloppy goals. It was good to get a clean sheet."
