Bring on the Saddlers! As we return to St James Park on Tuesday evening, so does a packed edition of our award-winning programme, The Grecian.
In this week’s edition we speak to Josh Key, whose heroics at Colchester produced two assists that helped the club to at three points.
In the interview, Josh talks about an unexpected breakthrough season, the club’s ‘Band of Brothers’, and how his faith helps him as a player and as a team mate.
“With football it’s often that you’re in the limelight, especially as you go further up, and whether you perform well or not I think you’re open for a lot of criticism from other people and through that you can criticise yourself. We’re all very competitive people who want to win and I’ve said before that I used to define myself by how well I was doing and how successful I was. My Christian faith has helped me change this…”
Of course, there is plenty more for fans of all ages to enjoy, including our Academy Drills pull-out feature, which has run throughout the season with the aim of providing useful and enjoyable sessions for young coaches and the players of the future.
For each edition we also catch up with the Supporters’ Trust, City Community Trust, the ECFC Women and Academy teams and the ECFC Museum, as well as with all of our regular feature writers who explore the world of ECFC, past, present and future!
And of course, there is the Scout Report, which provides all the key information you need to know about the opposition ahead of kick-off.
