📝 Corporate Tournament raises £1200 for 'Kit out the Cliff'

The first 'Kit out the Cliff' fundraising event, the annual Corporate Trust 7-a-side football tournament took place on Sunday, June 12 at the Cliff Hill Training Ground.

Eight teams were hoping to be crowned Corporate Trust Champions and this year the honour went to Metalwork Solutions Ltd after a penalty shootout. Congratulations to MSL!

Our thanks to all the teams that took part; Girling Jones, Arque, Tracks Suzuki, Tamar Security, WA/TQR, Man vs Fat and South West Comms and to our sponsors Speedyfreight, Ruddlesden Geotechnical and The Light Brown Partnership.

The event proved to be great fun and was organised so efficiently by Matt Moore from Girling Jones, raised an amazing £1200!

In the last update we highlighted the Great Western Grecians' choice of an HD projector and screen as our current target. The aim is to raise £5000 to cover the cost of these items, and thanks to donations from Supporter groups and individuals, as well as a the Corporate Football Tournament, we can reduce the total still needed to £3000.

Two of our smaller groups have joined those to be thanked on our Sponsors' board to be erected at the entrance of the Training Ground when work is completed.

The Great Western Grecians have followed up their choice of an HD Screen and projector with a generous donation towards it. Thank you to the Yorkshire Grecians have also transferred a significant donation to the account, despite being one of the smaller supporter groups.
