Work due to begin on the new development at the Cliff Hill Training Ground has been delayed after the modular building manufacturer, which had been selected via a tender process, informed the club that it has withdrawn from the contract.
The club board is now exploring the potential options and anticipates that it will be in a position to make a further announcement by the beginning of April.
Nick Hawker, chair of the Supporters’ Trust, said: “We are very grateful to our project team who have been working hard to find a solution to this problem. There have been many challenges for the construction industry in recent months, however, we are optimistic that we will resolve this and we will, of course, keep our supporters updated when we have news to share.”
