The very deserved winner of the Carpetright #WeWinYouWin competition from the Harrogate game is the South Western Ambulance Service football team.
The group wins £500 in the competition, which sees Carpetright donating £500 to a south west sports club every time Exeter City win a game.
South Western Ambulance Service provides emergency and urgent care to the residents and visitors of the south west. Around a year ago the East Devon sector began playing 6-a-side football on a Monday evening. This soon gathered momentum and in December they arranged a charity football match against colleagues from Plymouth.
Luke Priddis said "The match was very successful and we raised £1,500 for the SW ambulance service charity that provides support to staff with their mental and physical wellbeing, training to the public and also funding public defibrillators.
"Going forward our East Devon sector team plan on playing more football matches with one already arranged against our South Devon colleagues and future games in the planning stages against the Fire Service and others. £500 would go a huge way in helping us fund things such as training cones and footballs and further go towards the cost of the Exeter University pitch that we hire on a Monday evening.”
There’s still time to enter the competition from the Swindon match, just send your pitch to Carpetright, explaining who you are, why you deserve help and how £500 could help you to keep winning. Email entries must be no more than 350 words and should be sent to wewinyouwin@carpetright.co.uk
