Vice-captain Pierce Sweeney has echoed the message of 'togetherness' from interim boss Kevin Nicholson as the the Grecians head into their first league game since the departure of Matt Taylor.
"We've reacted fairly well to the change. We've got a good group of humble lads and have helped Kev and John," Sweeney said ahead of this weekend's trip to Barnsley.
"As captain and vice, me and MJ have a role to play. We have to keep the lads at ease and pass on information on the process.
"And now we relish going to Barnsley this weekend. They're probably too good for League One, they're in good form and have good players."
