Gary Caldwell has praised a 'special' night at SJP as his side conquered Premier League side Luton Town in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Demetri Mitchell's late goal sent SJPa into delirium with a crowd of over 7,300 witnessing an Exeter City side beat top tier opposition for the first time since 1980.
"For us to have a Premier League side come here and play the way we did, the players were absolutely outstanding," Gary said.
"Every challenge that was out in front of the players, the players were ready for it. They were incredible. I'm proud of everyone, the club, the staff.
"We all work extremely hard but we only had 20 minutes with the team to work on the new back six and had to show the players the key concepts and principles.
"All the credit has to go to the players and took that out into that atmosphere and carried it out to the letter. Out of possession we were outstanding too.
