Gary Caldwell admits his side "dropped below the standards he sets" as he reflects on Saturday's 2-1 loss to Leyton Orient.
Speaking after the game, the manager said:
"I think Leyton Orient deserved to win the game. We could have been a few goals down in the first half, it was a disappointing perfomance.
"But I said to to players that I'm not cross with them, they've given so much. We need to take that bump in the road and move on until next week."
City made three changes to the Starting XI with 16-year-old Jake Richards making his league debut and the boss has issued the importance of every member of the squad to be ready when called upon.
"Injuries make things harder, but players need to take that moment and be ready for when that moment comes," Gary continued.
The other injuries in the week lessened our options from the bench and the finishers we could have brought on. I don't think we'll finish another game this season with the 11 with the team we had at the end. But that can't be an excuse."
