City under-18's Head Coach, Tom Donati, has provided an update ahead of the academy's crucial fixture with Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
City progressed in the Youth Alliance League Cup last weekend with a penalty shoot-out win over Oxford United, and Donati was pleased with the team's comeback and ultimate victory.
"It was a real game of two halves and Oxford really dominated in the first. We held on to only being two down and made changes at half time," he said.
"There was a rejuvenation and resilience in the second half and we probably deserved to win in normal time in the end, even after going down to ten.
"There were some real mature performances."
Focus now turns to facing the Gas in Bristol this weekend, with Tom expecting another tough match.
"It will be another competitive game and a local one for us. We're really looking forward to it, and we have a few players coming back from injury as well. We've got them twice in a week with the under-17s as well, so it'll be interesting."
