Following City's 0-0 draw at Wigan, Gary Caldwell shared his thoughts.

For much of the game both sides cancelled each other out, with Joe Whitworth then called into action in the final ten minutes to earn the Grecians a point on the road.

"I think it will be a positive point if we can go and win on Tuesday night," said Gary. "I always think when you draw a game of football, if you win the next game it becomes an even better point."

"We just lacked a little bit of cutting edge today and just didn't look like ourselves in possession, which can happen."

Wigan could've nicked all three points in the final second of the game had it not been for Whitworth in goal, but Gary was keen to highlight that the Palace loanee's save was a moment he expected from his goalkeeper.

"Look he's been brilliant for us in terms of personality and how we can build through him, using his quality in his feet.

"But goalkeepers are there to keep the ball out of the net, as Roy Keane would say he is just doing his job.

"It was a fantastic save but it was the only big save he had to make, he's just doing his job."
