Gary Caldwell reacts to City's late defeat at Blackpool

Manager Interview Graphic, Gary Caldwell post Blackpool (A)

Gary Caldwell spoke of his disappointment after a 93rd minute winner gave Blackpool the three points at Bloomfield Road.

Despite scoring for the first time at Bloomfield Road since 1979, City came away empty handed due to Blackpool's 93rd minute winner.

"It's disappointing to lose the game after getting back in," Gary said.

"I thought second half we were the better team, when the finishers came on we added some pace, we had an injection of quality in the final third and I could see us potentially winning the game if we scored, and then there was some bad actions and a bit of naivety after we scored."

"I think overall we have to be honest it was a performance where we definitely didn't deserve to win the game."

A positive Gary took from the game was the way his finishers came onto the pitch and affected the match, swinging it back in City's favour midway through the second half.

"We were trying to get pace in the team higher up, we're missing some players with injuries in terms of that.

"I thought the players who came on the pitch, the finishers, were excellent, they added a real impetus to the team."
