Jack McMillan has given his thoughts following a 2-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town.
City were off the boil in West Yorkshire, despite a positive second half performance, and the Scot feels that City were the masters of their own downfall against the in-form Terriers.
"We were passive, started not to bad, got in decent enough areas but then we were just passive all over the park.
"From the corner, for their goal, we were passive in attacking it and defending it. It was too easy on our part."
While City began the second half a lot brighter, a goal from the home side at a crucial moment killed any momentum the Grecians had, Jack explained.
"We started the second half more aggressive with our passing, playing forward more often, winning more second balls. We were starting to gather some momentum and then they scored at a crucial time, killed our momentum and flipped it again.
