📝 Paul Jarman scoops June's BIG Foundation prize

The Foundation’s main winner this month is Paul Jarman who collects June’s £1,000 prize and is pictured wearing his City colours!

Paul is delighted with his win and says that his wife and daughters have already had an advance on his winnings, and intends to put the remainder towards a flight to Vancouver to see his twin sister, Sue, another very loyal Grecian.

Paul is a long standing supporter and remembers his beginnings and some highlights, saying: "I've been supporting City since my father and Senior Red, Bill Jarman took me to my first game when I was 8 (a very dull 0-0 draw with Torquay United) and then up until the beginning of last season I took him, when he very reluctantly admitted that at 92 he had seen his last game at SJP. 

"I'm currently a season ticket holder in the Optimising IT Adam Stansfield Stand and at the last count I've seen over 650 City games home and away! In that time I've had a number of favourite players, some unfashionable, but include Peter Rogers, Steve Neville, Steve Williams, Adam Stansfield and more recently his son 'once a red, always a red' Jay.  

"I was fortunate enough to go to Leicester, Newcastle and Spurs in the 1981 cup run and I'm still adamant that City should have been awarded a penalty in the very 1st minute - where was VAR?!  

"More recently our game at Old Trafford and the money spinning replay are highlights, but my favourite game was at Elland Road in 2009, where although City lost in the last minute we weren't overawed by the occasion and the away support was loud and very proud, so much so that we were voted the best away fans that season by Leeds. As I live in Plymouth, clearly any win at Home Park is thoroughly enjoyed and definitely merits a mention.”
