Vacancy: Mini Bus Driver

We have an exciting opportunity to join our unique and special club with 20 years of Supporters’ Trust ownership in a casual, seasonal position as Under 18’s Mini Bus Driver. 

This role forms part of our academy structure and by joining the team you will be supporting our academy which has a growing reputation for not only producing talented footballers but more importantly, well-rounded young men in looking after the best interests of our players by playing a key role in transporting our under 18’s safely.

As well as safely operating our minibus and transporting players to appropriate locations in line with fixtures the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out pre & post vehicle checks, completing the logbook & company checklists as required and reporting any issues.

Our Scholars in our under-18 team compete in the Youth Alliance League and the successful candidate will work on a casual, seasonal basis between August and April travelling to various locations based on fixtures with an average journey between 2 and 3.5 hours. 

Fixtures kick off time is usually 11am and in line with this the team needs to travel in plenty of time to ensure arrival an hour in advance of kick-off so in general departure from The Cliff Hill Training Ground will be at around 7am with a return time to site of around 5pm. The successful candidate will be able to watch the matches.

Candidates applying for this role will need to have a full UK D1 driving licence and be reliable, punctual and committed to the role.  Previous experience is not essential although would be desirable and candidates should have a good geographical knowledge and excellent driving record with no recent endorsements.

Prior to commencing work a right to work document(s) must be presented and references and an enhanced DBS Check will need to be undertaken.

Hourly rate will be £15 per hour.
