Fresh from signing his new contract, Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell shared his thoughts with us.
Gary's new contract was announced live at the Trust fans' forum this evening, but earlier this afternoon he sat down to discuss his new deal and what the future holds.
“I feel really proud and thankful that the board have given me the opportunity to continue building and developing this brilliant football club," Gary said.
“It’s nearly been two years since I joined the football club, and there’s been a lot of progress made during that time and to continue that journey and development taking the club even higher is really exciting.”
Gary's the latest in a line of Grecians to have renewed their contracts this summer, and he told us how his new deal was a factor in convincing players to commit to City.
"It was a big thing when I was speaking to players, to say that I am going to commit."
"From the end of last season throughout the summer we've talked about this. It's always been there but the priority for me has been to get the players in, to get the players ready and get everything there and then I'd sign my contract."
