Join lots of jolly Grecians in our annual Santa Dash from Exeter City centre to St James Park on December 29th
There’s still time to sign up to the City Santa Dash! Don’t forget, it costs the same to register for the Dash as it costs for a ticket to see Exeter City v Barnet on the same day – but you get a match ticket thrown in free, as well as a Santa Suit to do the dash in!This year’s Dash will begin at Guildhall at 1.15pm on Saturday 29th December and go through Exeter City Centre, finishing at St James Park in time for the afternoon visit of Edgar Davids and Barnet. For just £17 per adult and £5 per child, you will receive your Santa Suit and a match ticket for the afternoon's fixture against Barnet, which kicks off the regular Saturday time of 3pm.
Last year, 310 jolly Grecians ran through the streets of Exeter in their festive garb before catching a game at St James Park. This year, we’re hoping to match that number and to raise £10,000 for charitable causes.
The Santa Suit sizes are as follows:
• Small child: Age 2-7 (jacket, trousers, hat & belt).
• Large child: Age 8-14 (jacket, trousers, hat, beard & belt)
• Adult: All suits are XL with an adjustable belt, jacket, trousers, hat, beard and belt.
There are great prizes for the three Santa dashers who raise the most sponsorship money:
• 1st place: Be a Director for the day
• 2nd place: Hospitality for two
• 3rd place: Signed Exeter City shirt
You can also upgrade to the Santa Dash VIP Package, which includes: a Santa Suit; VIP stadium entrance; a seat in the Flybe Stand; a pre-match meal in the Hospitality Lounge; viewing the post-match man of the match awards and photo opportunities with players (on request). All this, for just £35 per adult and £15 per child.
All sponsor donations will be split 50/50 between Exeter City Football in the Community Charitable Trust (FITC) and a charity of your choice.
David Evans, Youth Commercial Manager at Exeter, said: “Last year's Santa Dash was a massive success and loads of fun, so we're delighted to be doing it again this year - and we're aiming to blow last year’s event out the water!
“We're giving fans the option to donate half of their sponsor money to charities that they hold close to their heart this Christmas.
“And it'll be amazing to see St James Park packed out with Santa Suits for the Barnet game!”
