Pairing recognised for performances against Plymouth
Exeter City duo Steve Tully and Liam Sercombe have been voted into the npower League 2 Team of the Week for their performances in the Devon Derby on Saturday.Sercs’ first goal of the season opened the scoring against Plymouth in the 34th minute, as he bombed down the right wing before unleashing an effort beyond the reach of Rene Gilmartin.
As well as netting against the Pilgrims, the 22-year-old put in a great all-round-performance which eventually saw him crowned as the man-of-the-match.
Tulls joins his partner on the right flank in scooping the weekly accolade. The full-back has been a regular fixture in the starting XI in recent weeks and put in a typically all-action display, both going forward and tracking back.
And Steve’s defensive prowess was also a key factor in keeping Argyle at bay during a spell of sustained pressure during the second half.
