Rovers entertaining City in St Lukes Bowl
Willand Rovers are welcoming Exeter City fans to the St Lukes Challenge Bowl second round tie between the two clubs on Tuesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm).
The tie between Rovers and the Grecians takes place at Silver Street in Willand. Adult admission costs £6.50 (including a programme), and junior admission is just £4.
The Rovers clubhouse will be open and City supporters will be made very welcome there, while the T-Hut will be serving hot drinks and food throughout. It is a great opportunity for Exeter fans to catch a glimpse of some of the younger talents that are pushing towards the first team.
Rovers beat Elmore 5-0 in the first round back in September, with Jamie Skinner – who works for Exeter City Football in the Community – on the scoresheet that evening. Exeter, meanwhile, were handed a bye for the first round. The winner of the tie will face last year’s finalists Tiverton Town in the quarter-final.
This year’s meeting will be a rematch of the 2010/11 second round fixture, where City ran out 4-1 winners at Silver Street. Last season, Willand entertained Torquay United at the same stage and took the Gulls to penalties, but lost the shoot-out 7-6.
