How did the youngsters get on v Oxford?

The young Grecians got off to a slow start, but soon found themselves 3-1 up at half time with goals from Alistair Patrick, Alex Moyse and a great solo goal from Max Clark. The high pressing game took its toll on the City side, who ran out of steam in the fourth period and lost the game 3-5.

Under 11s: Oxford Utd 3-5 Exeter City
Exeter passed their way to a three goal lead with goals from Pat O’Halloran, Jamie Passmore and Jay Stansfield.
Oxford got a goal back and City had to defend, backed up by an excellent performance from goalkeeper Ben Bingham. Although Oxford scored twice more, Stansfield completed his hat-trick to seal the victory.

Under 12s: Exeter City 4-8 Oxford Utd
Exeter were punished for a poor defensive display throughout the team. On a positive note some of the Exeter goals came from excellent attacking play. Scorers were Archie Reay, Morgan Cullen, Jack Hobday and Alex Roberts.

Exeter started the game very brightly showing good composure and quality to dominate Oxford.
It took until the third period however for Exeter to turn their processional dominance into a goal from Max Smallcombe who showed great composure to slot past the goalkeeper.
After an Oxford equaliser, Exeter again took the lead through Sam Phillips who showed good composure to beat the goalkeeper.
