City’s rising stars will do annual parade at Northampton game
When Exeter City take on Northampton Town on Saturday, we will welcome to the field at half-time the youngsters that represent Exeter City’s Academy as they do their annual parade.
There are currently 140 registered players in the Academy between the age-groups of under-9 to under-16. They all share the same dream of becoming a professional footballer – and the players and their families deserve great credit for showing huge dedication and commitment to get to training sessions and games.
At present, we have numerous players that are in the first-team squad that have come through the Youth Academy at Exeter City – including Liam Sercombe, Elliott Frear, Scot Bennett, Aaron Dawson, Tom Nichols, Jake Gosling, Jamie Reid, Jacob Jagger Cane, Jacob Wannell and Jordan Moore-Taylor.
And in the past, we have seen Dean Moxey, Danny Seaborne, George Friend and Sean Goss all leave the club for pastures new as those former Academy players moved up to a higher level.
We will also be welcoming along their sponsors, who contribute a substantial amount of money to supporting the boys, and by doing so helping the Academy to continue doing all their phenomenal work in giving the youngsters every chance of making their dreams a reality.
So be sure to show your appreciation to the boys at the Northampton match for all their hard work and commitment, and let them know how much support they get from the club.
