Striker looking to exchange notes with youngsters
Exeter City striker John O’Flynn is feels that the senior players in the Exeter City squad can learn off the younger players, just as much as they can be their leaders.
Flynny feels that there is a nice combination of experience and youthful naivety – and that the characteristics of the younger lads will rub off on the rest of the squad.
However he also feels that the younger players need to step up to the plate and prove their mettle as they embark on their fledgling careers.
“We’ve got a good blend of experience and youth,” said Flynny. “It’s going to be a 50-50 thing – we’ll be trying to guide the young lads as much as we can, but it’s also up to them to come in and take their opportunity and show what kind of class they have.
“You saw Jamie Reid coming in at the end of last season with no fear – there are traits as experienced players where you might feel the nerves a bit more. As a youth you come in and just want to impress. We can definitely learn off each other.”
