Tom to remain with the Grecians
Paul Tisdale has confirmed that Tom Nichols will be a City player for the 2013/14 season.
The teenage striker put played three times for the Grecians last year as well as making several substitute appearances, and spent loan spells away from the Park with Hereford, Bath and Dorchester.
“Tom is a young player that was in the mix at the end of last year,” said Tis. “He’s still only 19, and he had a terrific intro to the professional ranks, and young players will be up and down with their form.
“We believe he’s a player we should persevere with because he’s got a real talent, and we’ve got Jamie Reid and Elliott Chamberlain too who have all got a chance.
“We’re pleased he’s staying with us. He wanted to stay, and when it comes to the crunch at Exeter City we tend to back the young players.”
