City boss gives thanks to departing forward
Following the news of Jamie Cureton’s departure for Cheltenham Town, Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale has thanked the striker for his service at the club.
Cureton’s contract expired at the end of the season, allowing him the freedom to negotiate terms with other clubs. And with the announcement today (Monday) that Whaddon Road will be Cureton’s next port of call, Tis thanked the striker for input for the Grecians over recent seasons.
Tis said: “I have to thank Jamie for his all efforts for us and for his contribution in front of goal.
“Jamie is a proven goalscorer with a huge desire to play. His motivation to play football is second to none, which has allowed him to keep playing for so long and that’s what Cheltenham will get from him.
“He is a player that we would otherwise have looked to have kept, but we know we have to progress within our financial limitations.
“But I’ve enjoyed working with him and wish him well.”
