Tom will spend a month with the Magpies
Exeter City’s young striker Tom Nichols has joined Blue Square Bet South side Dorchester Town on a month-long loan.
The deal was completed on Friday and could have seen him featuring in the Saturday fixture against Dorchester Town, but heavy overnight rain at the Avenue Stadium forced the game against AFC Hornchurch to be postponed.
It will be Nichols’ second spell with the Magpies, having represented them at the back end of last season and helped guide the side to a comfortable mid-table finish in the Conference South. This season, he will be hoping to fire them towards the play-off places – Dorchester currently lie six points and a substantial goal-difference astray of the sought-after fifth spot.
The 19-year-old has played three times for Exeter’s first-team this season, as well as representing Hereford United and Bath City on loan.
