Sun Shines on awards

Watch The Football League Awards 2013 live on thesun.co.uk

For the first time ever, supporters will get a front row seat to tonight’s Football League Awards thanks to The Sun.

Britain’s No1 football paper is to broadcast the event live on your PC, mobile or tablet, kicking off at 8.30pm tonight.  And even better, it’s FREE to watch.

To watch just go to thesun.co.uk and watch the stars from the npower Championship, League 1 and League 2 vying for honours on a glittering football night.

And Exeter City’s own Jamie Cureton will be in the running for a prize, having been named amongst the three shortlisted players for the npower League 2 Player of the Year award, while City fan Neil Le Milliere is in the running for Football League Fan of the Year.

Tonight’s event is the eighth staging of the Football League’s annual celebration of its clubs and competitions.  It takes place in Central London in front of a sell-out audience of 630 and awards include the npower Player of the Year in all three divisions, the Johnstone’s Paint Young Player of the Year and the Mitre Goal of the Year.

Additionally, the Football League will present the ‘Contribution to League Football’ award to Peter Shilton to mark his achievement as the only man in its 125 year history to play more than 1000 league matches.
