Gala Ball marks the end of the season
Hundreds of City fans, guests and sponsors attended the End of Season Gala Ball to mark the close of the 2012/13 campaign.
The event was hosted in a giant marquee, which was erected in the car park next to St James Park and provided a great venue for the evening’s proceedings. The event, which was sponsored by Paramount Personnel, incorporated the End of Season Awards. The list of the award-winners can be seen by clicking here.
Former ITV and Radio Exe journalist Mark Tyler was the MC for the evening. Awards were dished out for achievement both on and off the pitch. There were plenty of anecdotes to be had from the evening – including one particularly memorable one from the City boss…
As well as a three-course meal, guests were treated to a game of ‘Red Card/Yellow Card’ and Irish Bingo (Grecians manager Paul Tisdale was the runner-up on the evening…) and the evening finished up with 13-piece Devon band Loose Cannons providing brilliant entertainment, showing a rich array of vocals and sounds through the ages.
One of the highlights was a sax solo from goalkeeper Rhys Evans, which earned hearty applause from fans and his fellow players!
Thanks go to our sponsors for helping us put on the event.
