Dates set for next season
The Football League have released details of fixture dates in the 2014/15 season.
Clubs in the Football League will kick off their new campaign on Saturday 9th August 2014, with Premier League clubs starting their new season a week later.
The first round of the League Cup is due to take place on a weekday following the opening weekend, and a hectic Christmas schedule will see league fixtures played on Saturday 20th December, Friday 26th December, Sunday 28th December and Saturday 3rd January 2015.
The season’s final regulation fixture comes on Saturday 2nd May 2015, with the play-off providing the finale to the years as the finals for Leagues 1 and 2 will fall on Sunday 24th May and Saturday 23rd May respectively.
