Youngsters getting involved in annual charity event
Tiverton-based junior football club Moors Youth Under-11s are one of the many local football teams that are supporting Exeter City’s annual charity Santa Dash event next Saturday 30th November.
The event, which kicks off at 1.15pm from the Guildhall, is unsurprisingly an exciting prospect for these budding footballers, who cannot wait to hotfoot down the High Street and raise money for fantastic charitable causes.
For the cost of a standard-price match ticket (£17 for adults and £5 for children), entrants will don a free Santa suit, sprint (or amble) through the town centre, and finish off by cheering on the Grecians at St James Park.
In fact, these youngsters will not only be painting Exeter town red (and white), but have also been given the chance to take penalties on the pitch at half-time and to provide City with a ‘Guard of Honour’ for the second half of their League 2 clash with Bury FC.
Under-11 coach Shane Hogan said, “Moors Youth FC are proud to be supporting such a worthy event. We have 13 young players and their parents raising money for two outstanding charities in Football in the Community and the Adam Stansfield Foundation. We are looking forward to a great day out thanks to Exeter City FC.”
Entries will be taken for the Santa Dash up until Friday 29th November. For more information and bookings, call David Evans on 07827 871 723 or email david.evans@exetercityfc.co.uk.
