Midfielder links up with City on loan
Exeter City have today (Friday) secured a loan deal for Bristol Rovers midfielder Matt Gill.
The 32-year-old midfielder previously spent three seasons with the Grecians between 2006 and 2009, helping the club back into the Football League after a five-year absence as part of the side that earned back-to-back promotions.
The deal will see Gill remain at St James Park until January.
Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale said: “Matt is someone who knows his way around the club already and he will understand the core elements of the way we play. He should slot into the team seamlessly.”
Gill has been given the squad number 35 and will be eligible for selection for tomorrow’s trip to Glanford Park to meet Scunthorpe.
